We will meet outside WLH on Cross Campus for all of these time slots, so look for our yellow VQ shirts!

The Viola Question is pleased to announce...
Brandon Berger (TD 2010) has been selected as the group's new director. Please come and join him in his inauguration as leader when he directs 12 hours of improvisational comedy this weekend on Cross Campus.

Gabriel Seidman (CC 2011) will now be business manager for the Viola Question. If you would like to book the VQ for a show or workshop or any other business related concern, please contact him at gabriel.seidman@yale.edu.

After the changing of the guards former director, Steven Kochevar (PC 2009) was immediately enrolled in a local home for active retirees. He is very much enjoying the extra time he has to paint and play UNO.

Spring with the VQ

The VQ returns to Yale ready for spring after a tour through North and South Carolina. Performance venues included professional comedy clubs, high schools, and community centers as well as an intercollegiate improv competition!

The VQ is keeping a busy schedule with many off-campus and on-campus performances to finish out the year. Watch out for upcoming shows including our 12-hour long marathon on Cross Campus, the end of year senior show, and a Bulldog Days performance!

Thanks to all who came out to see our Parent's Weekend Show! Gabe and Arziki took the stage in their first performance with the Viola Question, and made their parents proud!

Senior Showcase 2007

The Senior Showcase, the last VQ show of the year, will be held in Saybrook Underbrook on Yale Campus on Saturday, May 5, at 10 pm. For those who don't know the VQ class of '07:

Jocelyn Ranne SM '07, from Tulsa, OK, enjoys long walks on the Green and large chocolate cakes. Eli Clark SY '07, a native of Darien, CT, can be led to a brown bag store, but not to a water store, because she won't touch the stuff. And though Justin Noble TD '07 will be plying his trade for the last time on the Yale stage on Saturday, he hopes to crop up periodically like a tropical disease in karaoke bars from here to his home town of Toms River, NJ, and possibly beyond.

Please wear black to the performance as a symbol of your grief, but cheer like you mean it.

Holiday Show!

I bet that some of you guys have been missing the VQ. You have probably been asking yourself questions like: "Why haven't I laughed recently?", "Why do I feel tired and defeated?", "Where is God and how could he allow Pol Pot to live under house arrest?"

Well, fear not faithless heathens! The Viola Question is having our Reading Week Nondenominational Christ's Birthday Party Show (random sampling of guests appear in the picture) on Tuesday, December 12, at 10.00pm in Street Hall following the Suite 13 show.

This will also be Paull's last show before going to China for the term, so yeah, for what it's worth... he'd like to see you there.

The Aftermath and the Future

The Parent's Weekend Show was a great success! The parents laughed and one student even cried. The taps (Brandon, O'Hagan, Sean, and Yates) have completed their first professional improv show and are looking forward to many more. Next stop: the Southmayd (Retirement) Home in Waterbury, CT!

Accompanying this post is my favorite picture from the show - I can't remember what it is that Matt is trying to do, but Mr. Ricci captured it on his L-series lens. Thank you Mr. Ricci.
